WHAT:  The emerald ash borer beetle is an exotic beetle that was first discovered in Michigan in 2002. The beetle larvae destroy the inside of ash trees eventually causing them to die. The devastating beetle was first confirmed in Davidson County in 2014 and it is expected to affect all native ash trees by 2020 unless they are treated. Come hear about the impact of the emerald ash borer on our urban tree canopy and what you can do to help.
