WHAT: ChattaBrew Tour gives you a behind-the-scenes brewery experience that isn’t available to the general public. On each tour, you’ll visit four different breweries over approximately four hours, tasting their signature brews and seasonal selections while you learn the art and science of their craft. You’ll also have time to grab a pint at each stop and even purchase crowlers and growlers to enjoy later.
 

Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis - E-DAY

WHAT: Engineering Day, or E-Day, is an annual open house hosted by the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis. The day-long event hosts various STEM competitions, engineering lab tours, and multiple walk-up activities throughout the engineering complex. E-day historically attracts thousands of Memphis area middle and high school students!


 

UT Martin - Chemistry Demonstration

WHAT: Chemistry students from the University of TN at Martin, Murray State University, Bethel University, Union University, and West Kentucky Community and Technical College will be gathering to present chemistry demonstrations to the public.  This event seeks to foster the development of innovative chemistry education available to our community. Students emphasized safe demonstration practices as well as conveyed correct chemistry, which can be challenging tasks in most demonstration shows.  We didn’t seek to be the most “explosive,” but rather, the most informative (while still having fun, and a few controlled explosions!)

Technology Engagement Center - Observe the Moon Night

WHAT:  Join us at the TEC as we help celebrate NASA's International Observe the Moon Night, a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration.  NASA tells us that the best lunar observing is typically along the dusk/dawn terminator, where shadows are the longest, rather than at full Moon.  We'll have telescopes to view the Waxing Gibbous Moon, and members of the MTSU Astronomy Club to answer questions. 

Enjoy the Virtual Reality station, a high-tech story time, moon craft and snacks.  All ages are welcome, 

Our sister branch the Bookmobile will be visiting as well!

 

Five in One Social Club - Batik Silk Scarves

WHAT: Join us for this wonderfully colorful workshop exploring the art of batik.  We'll learn about applying a wax resist and colorful dyes to create layered patterns. We will provide everything you need to make two beautiful silk scarves.

Bartlett Public Library - Just an Illusion; Exploring Light and Optical Illusions (Age 9-17)
