WHAT: Experience the wonders of constellations, planets, black holes and space travel. Learn about meteors and their impact on Earth. The AutoZone Dome at the Sharpe Planetarium immerses you in a totally new level of sight, sound, and comfort. The dome is 50 feet in diameter and reaches 32.5 feet off-of-floor. The screen area is 3, 925 square feet, making it the largest projection screen in Memphis.

WHAT: Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20. Individuals, businesses, neighborhoods, non-profits, clubs, senior centers, classrooms, and scout troops are all invited to create something special for 10,000 visitors/year to enjoy. Scarecrows are displayed in trailside locations around the special event lawn, trails and lake.
Cash prizes are awarded for Best STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), Greenest, Most Creative, Best Critter, and Most Popular. Entries are eligible for all categories. Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20.
