WHAT: The Caverns offers cave tours that include one of the largest underground rooms in the world at over 3 football fields long and a behind-the-scenes tour of the music venue. Walking tours of these otherworldly caves entwine the unique history of Grundy County, the geology of cave science, and the mythology of cave lore. Tours end on The Caverns world-famous stage.

MoSH Pink Palace STEAMFEST Touch Carts

Paint Plus Canvas Classes

Lichterman Nature Center Scarecrow Contest

COST: Displays are free with regular admission

WHAT: Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20. Individuals, businesses, neighborhoods, non-profits, clubs, senior centers, classrooms, and scout troops are all invited to create something special for 10,000 visitors/year to enjoy. Scarecrows are displayed in trailside locations around the special event lawn, trails and lake.

Cash prizes are awarded for Best STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), Greenest, Most Creative, Best Critter, and Most Popular. Entries are eligible for all categories. Scarecrow Contest and Displays run October 1 through November 20.
